This Christmas, as our way of giving something back to our local community, Downland Dance partnered with local business Health Claims Bureau (HCB) to deliver Christmas performances to the residents of two local Care Homes.
On Thursday 29th December, after weeks of rehearsals, a small group of our dancers visited Valerian Court, in Didcot, and Wantage Residential & Nursing Home, in Wantage, to perform a selection of Christmas themed dances, specially choreographed by our Principal Teacher, Judy Harris, and aimed at spreading some Christmas cheer.
It was a fun and rewarding experience for our dancers, who loved having the opportunity to showcase their passion for dance and showing off their fantastic costumes put together by Rebecca Coles, and the dancers delighted their audiences at the Care Homes – some of whom even said afterwards that they had been inspired to take up dance themselves!
