The Nutcracker at Cornerstone Arts Centre
The Downland Dance Performance Academy is excited to present The Nutcracker – a captivating fairytale dance show featuring exciting guest dancers from The Croatian National Theatre! This full length classical ballet tells the story of the young girl Clara, as she is whisked along a thrilling journey by the magical toy maker Drosselmeyer. Experience Clara’s toys come to life as her surroundings mysteriously grow, the exciting battle between the Nutcracker Doll and the Mouse Queen, and the beauty and grace of the Sugar Plum Fairy as she dances with her Prince in the Candy Kingdom. Set to the famously enchanting score by Tchaikovsky, our dancers have been hard at work preparing a dance spectacle, and we can’t wait to take you along this journey with us!
The Nutcracker is playing at Cornerstone Arts Centre on 26th and 27th July.
